Computer Systems Group
Professors: Minsoo Ryu, Sooyong Kang, Lee, Hun Jun
Computer systems group performs research on operating systems, which are fundamental components of computer systems that primarily govern underlying computer hardware. Computer systems are nowadays ubiquitous in places where controlling hardware is needed, such as personal computer systems, workstations, navigation systems, home appliances, airplanes, etc. Computer systems with dedicated functions within large mechanical or electrical systems are called embedded systems that have either strict timing constraints or very limited processing power. The research areas of the computer systems group include hardware-software co-design, low-power computing, real-time computing, embedded software engineering, embedded storage systems, embedded operating systems, embedded computer architecture, embedded databases, etc.
